How have partnerships impacted the trajectory of your speaking career?

Right about now, you are thinking back to all of the partner-frogs you kissed, hoping they would turn into Superheroes to catapult your speaking career to the next level. Then again, what was that partner thinking when they decided to hire you? Did you deliver on their expectations?

Speaking appears to be such a solo act. After all, you are the one on stage, in the front of the room, delivering the spoken word. Yet, how many strategic partnerships went into your being the expert rocking the stage, at that moment in space and time?

This month, take an inventory of all the partnerships you have established, for better or for worse. Consider all the dynamics involved in creating fulfilling strategic partnerships: synchronicity, reciprocity, chemistry, and more than a little bit of magic.

Develop a set of criteria for your ideal strategic partner(s). Compare your criteria with the partners you currently work with. What will it take to get you from where you are, Today, to where you need to go, Tomorrow and in the Future? Are there certain partners you will need to jettison? Will you discover other partnerships to target instead?

The quality of business and career outcomes starts by getting out of your own way so you can discover the opportunities and strategic partnerships that are right beyond the horizon of your current speaking vision. Take that leap of faith in yourself. Discover the magic of these strategic partnerships.
